Day 1 Depart the UK on your flight to Delhi.
Day 2 : Arrive New Delhi.
On arrival at Delhi Airport, our representative will meet you and transfer you to your hotel. The driver will be at your disposal to show you around this vibrant city. Dinner and overnight at our hotel
Day 3: New Delhi – Udaipur
After breakfast you will transfer to Delhi Airport and take a flight to Udaipur. On arrival you will be met by our local representative who will transport you to your accommodation, a fabulous lake-facing resort. The resort offers fantastic views of Lake Pichola where cruises can be organized. The hotel’s heritage style is intricate and romantic. After settling in and maybe taking a walking tour around the resort and local area you can indulge in a 70-minute Ayurvedic massage.
Day 4 : Udaipur
An early start to enjoy a meditation and yoga session before breakfast. The rest of the morning will be spent exploring the city, visiting its old bazaars rich in colour and aromos where you can check out an abundant array of spices, jewelry, utensils, handcrafts, clothes and much more. Visit Sahelion-Ki-Bari, a garden well-known for its lotus pond, fountains, marble elephants, and lush green lawns. After lunch take you will visit the hilltop Monsoon Palace which was built as the summer residence of the Maharana (King) of the Region. Enjoy spectacular views over the verdant countryside before returning to the hotel for dinner.
Day 5 : Udaipur
Another early start as you explore the art of meditation and yoga. After breakfast take a cruise on Lake Pichola – a truly memorable experience, before continuing on to the majestic City Palace where you can enjoy its rare collection of paintings, manuscripts, silverware, carpets, and armoury.
This evening you will be enchanted by a classical dance performance at Bagore-Ki-Haveli before enjoying dinner at the renowned lake-facing Ambrai Restaurant.
Day 6 : Udaipur
After breakfast, you will take a tour to visit Bhartiya Lok Kala Museum which has a rich display of folk art, including dolls, turbans, and paintings. Continue on to Shilpgram, an artisan’s village with ethnic cottages built to showcase the work of local workers. In the afternoon, visit Karni Mata Temple located on the Machla Magra hills before returning to your accommodation for dinner and rest.
Day 7 : Kumbhalgarh, Royal Kumbhalgarh Villas
After breakfast enjoy a thrilling drive to Kumbhalgarh, with stops enroute at the 11th-century Eklingji and Nagda Temples. Kumbhalgarh Fort was built 1900 meters above sea level and is a marvel of military engineering. The walls skirting the fort are 30 km in length and are often colloquially referred to as the Great Wall of India. The fort is a UNESCO World Heritage Site!
In the evening visit the Mahadev Temple built in 1460 AD, before returning to your accommodation for an ayurvedic massage followed by a pool-side barbecue dinner. Overnight at the Villas. Royal Kumbhalgarh Villas is situated on a hill and offers a breath-taking view of the local countryside. Its rooms are beautifully furnished and the evenings are enlivened by folk dances and music.
Day 8 : Kumbhalgarh, Royal Kumbhalgarh Villas
After an early morning yoga and meditation session, and a local breakfast, you will depart on a tour of Kumbhalgarh Fort, and the Neelkanth Mahadev Temple with its intricate architecture.
After lunch, enjoy a jeep safari through Kumbhalgarh Wildlife Sanctuary. Spread over 500 sq.km it is home to leopards, bison, sloths, nilgai, chinkara, and deer; as well as over 200 species of birds including doves, peacocks, parakeets, kingfishers, and golden orioles. Return to your Royal Villas for dinner.
Day 9 : Dungarpur, Jagatgarh Resort (or similar)
After checking out from the Villas your journey continues through quaint villages and rolling hills to Dungarpur, which is situated in the heart of the tribal region of South Rajasthan. Check into your accommodation, enjoy lunch, then you can enjoy a walking tour in and around the Palace. This eveneing after an ayurvedic massage, enjoy dinner and overnight stay at the Palace.
Day 10 : Dungarpur, Jagatgarh Resort (or similar)
After your yoga and meditation followed by breakfast, take a cruise on the lake, visit Juna Mahal, Deo Somnath Temple, Vijay Rajrajeshwar Temple, Surpur Temple, the State Museum, and the bazaars of the town. Then, dinner and rest at the Palace.
Day 11 : Dhariyawad, Fort Dhariyawad
After breakfast, your journey continues through beautiful forests, colourful villages, crossing rivulets until you reach Fort Dhariyawad. Check into the Fort where you can be assured of a warm welcome and true local hispitality. This fort-hotel has large open spaces, rooms are decorated in traditional Rajasthani tribal style. Your evening will be a mixture of folk music and dance, with maybe a magic or puppet show.
Day 12 : Dhariyawad, Fort Dhariyawad
You will be invited to rise early to enjoy the sunrise followed by meditation, yoga and breakfast. Enjoy a jeep tour, taking in local villages and lunch in the jungle. Visit the Naglia Dam and the ancient temples around. Return to your accommodation for an ayurvedic massage and dinner.
Day 13 : Dhariyawad, Fort Dhariyawad
Take an early morning safari inside the thick forests of the 450-sq.km Sitamata Wildlife Sanctuary where you could see bison, deer, chinkara, and hundreds of species of birds. Visit the Jakhan dam and a walking tour around Dhariyawad. In the evening, enjoy dinner where you will be presented with a gift to remind you forever of your wonderful Rajasthan experience.
Day 14 Dhariyawad – Udaipur – New Delhi
Drive from Fort Dhariywad to the airport at Udaipur for your flight to New Delhi where you will connect with your flight back to the UK.
